Did you know that when you post a photo to Instagram, it uses your device’s GPS and geo tags the photo with the exact location you took the photo? This information is then shown on your photo map to all your followers! This may not be an issue while you are at Disney or Dollywood, but when you are taking photos at home or work, this could be a serious privacy issue especially if your account is not private!
I am going to show you below in a short youtube video taken on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ how to remove the geo tags from your Instagram photos. I was not able to remove the geo tags from all the photos at once in large batches, but it worked in smaller batches. This may vary by devices, or may be a bug Instagram fixes in the future. Make sure your apps are updated to the latest version!
