Best cheap Android phone 2015
If you are looking for a great phone at the lowest price for 2015 read on! With technology, the latest and greatest will always be expensive, so you need to look for a device that has been out for a while, but is also currently supported and receiving software updates. At the time of this writing, Samsung revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update likely in 2015. This is an unprecedented move by Samsung who in the past has limited android updates at two revisions. When the Samsung Galaxy S6 is released in the USA, many users will be upgrading Samsung Galaxy S4 devices and renewing 2 year agreements with Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile, US Cellular, etc. This means craiglist and Ebay will be flooded with used Samsung Galaxy S4 devices, many of which will still be running the old version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Many users will not be aware the device is expected to receive the 5.0 Android update so it will be a buyer’s market. If you are purchasing your phone on Craigslist or Ebay, make sure you are buying from someone reputable. Many people will meet at a Sprint/Verizon store to activate the phone, or I have actually met someone and activated my phone online using my Sprint account using my laptop and free public WiFi.
I predict in Spring/Summer of 2015 the best phone for your money will be the Samsung Galaxy S4. Watch for the release date on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the following weeks will be the time to buy! Based upon past experience, prices will plummet.
Something else for consideration if you have free upgrade, renew your cellular phone carrier contract online and have them send you an inactivated Samsung Galaxy S6 or Iphone. Sell the device on Craigslist or Ebay and use the cash to buy something else and keep your old phone!
